I am a Kansas City native and recent grad who received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration and Creative Writing from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2017. I graduated with distinction as Valedictorian, the double major with the highest GPA in my graduating class, and was awarded the Mentorship Award in Creative Writing. I also briefly studied writing in Paris, France.
In 2016, I worked as a production design intern at Creative Consumer Concepts, or C3, and was fortunate enough to intern as an editorial illustrator at the Kansas City Star that same year. I was also a member of the MICRO student design agency team of 2015, and the work I made there was selected for an AIGA award in 2016. I carry the design skills I learned there into every future project.
I have worked as a Designer at Fabri-Quilt, Inc. in North Kansas City, MO since June of 2018, where I design fabric collections for Paintbrush Studio Fabrics, create marketing materials for and manage the website and social media of vertical gardening company WallyGro, and design assets for hospitality fabric manufacturer Warp & Phil.
In my free time, I enjoy creating collaborative stories with friends, playing tabletop games, driving my 1983 Datsun 280zx, and entertaining my cats.
