Featured Event Signage & Materials
At Burns & McDonnell's Environmental Services department, I get to create eye-catching signage and materials for events like public open houses, meetings, and stakeholder sessions. These events help communities learn about exciting new energy projects, like power lines and gas pipelines, and how they’ll impact the area. My banners, pamphlets, and fact sheets break down the details in an easy-to-understand way.

What is an Open House? // When utility companies are assigned the responsibility of generating new electricity or distributing power to certain areas, they are also legally required to hold public open house meetings in each county that the proposed project would cross. These Open Houses are staffed by team members from the utility company as well as Public Involvement specialists on the Burns & McDonnell side and are attended by many local landowners in hopes of discerning whether the project will directly affect them, and if so, to provide their feedback on the project. The company then takes their public feedback into account when deciding on a final route for the project.
